Catch-22 Cafe is a family-owned neighborhood cafe and a thriving meeting place for creatives that feels like home away from home.

Catch-22 Cafe was founded in 2010 by our family of artists. Our mission is sustain our customers not only with quality food and drink, but also with culture and community all under one roof. We renovated our mid-century building to highlight its intrinsic character: exposed high-beam wooden ceilings, stunning woodwork, and gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that are unrivaled in Mid-City.

Our food program strives to honor the diversity of Los Angeles as well as our family’s international background with a well-rounded, eclectic menu. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a selection of pastries and weekly specials that reflect the seasonality of California’s abundant produce. In addition to our made-in-house menu, we work with excellent local bakeries, including Cake Monkey, Clark Street Bread, CocoBakes, and Bread Lounge.



Chef Sydney

A native Angeleno, Chef Sydney began his culinary career in the LA Area, under the mentorship of Chef Ludo Lefebvre at his pop-up, Ludo Bites and later as chef d’ cuisine at his James Beard-nominated restaurant Petit Trois, where he cultivated his focus on farm-to-table cooking, sustainability, and seasonality. Syndey’s style employs seasonal ingredients of the highest quality in simple, yet thoughtful preparations.
